01Information we collect

Information you provide

Account information — your name, email address, company name, and password when you sign up.
Billing information — payment details handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We don’t store full credit card numbers on our servers.
Content you upload — the documentation, files and URLs you provide for indexing. It’s processed only to power your assistant and is never shared with other customers.
Communications — records of support conversations, so we can better assist you.

Collected automatically

Usage data (features accessed, queries made, session duration), device information (browser type, operating system, IP address and device identifiers) and cookies for authentication, preferences and analytics.

02How we use it

We use your information to provide, maintain and improve our services; process transactions and send related information; send technical notices, updates and support messages; respond to your comments, questions and requests; monitor and analyse trends, usage and activities; detect, investigate and prevent security incidents; and personalise and improve your experience.

04Your content & data isolation

Your documentation and knowledge-base content is stored in isolated environments. Each customer’s data is logically separated, with strict access controls to prevent unauthorised access. We do not use your content to train machine-learning models; your proprietary information remains confidential and is used only to provide services to you.

05Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or legitimate business purposes. Uploaded content is deleted when you remove it from a project or close your account.

06Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
Regular security assessments and penetration testing
Access controls and authentication requirements
Monitoring and logging of system activity

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so please use strong passwords and keep your credentials confidential. More detail is on our Security page.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Delete your personal information
Export your data in a portable format

08International data transfers

Pernoex operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws.

09Children’s privacy

Pernoex is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy here and updating the “last updated” date. Your continued use of Pernoex after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
